The Ugly Truth About A story of strength or revenge - Draupati from Mahabharat

"In revenge and in love woman is more barbaric than man is."
Some words are really proved and shows true mirror. Draupad is a correct example set for this quotation.

Draupadi a daughter of king Drupad of Paanchaal. She was born from fire. She was a powerful woman. Her powers increased with her journey of life.

She always considered Lord Krishna as her brother/close friend. Formally married to Arjuna, one of the five Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata epic, Draupadi eventually became a wife to all the brothers. This title on Draupadi narrates the story of one of the greatest women of Indian Mythology who always stood by the Pandavas like an ideal wife and how her humiliation at the hands of the Kauravas led to the greater Mahabharata War.

She married to Arjuna in a swaymvar organised by her father. When they reached home, Arjun mother, Kunti ordered them to divided whatever they have brought among the five brothers. She was not aware that Arjun has brought daughter in law for her. But that time words of mother always followed by kids as a order. Finally Draupadi had to marry all the five pandavas.

Lord Krishna elucidates Draupadi about her unique position as the wife of five Pandavas. Krishna says that during her last birth, Draupadi was born as Nalayani, the daughter of Nala and Damayanti. In that lifetime, she had extensively prayed to Lord Shiva to grant her a husband with five desired virtues. Pleased with her prayers, Lord Shiva had granted her a boon confirming that in her next birth she would be born as the wife of Pandavas, the five brothers who would reflect the five virtues as desired by her.

Simultaneously, Shiva also pacified her saying that despite getting five husbands she would live as a virtuous woman and regain her virginity every morning after taking a ritual bath.

Yudhishthira - Wisdom of Dharma
Bhima - Strength exceeding a thousand elephants combined
Arjuna - Audacity and Battle Tactics
Nakula and Sahadeva - Good looks and Presentability

Later in the dice game organised by kauravas, Pandavas lost their wealth. Draupadi was humiliated and insulted in front of all in the sabha. Lord Krishna helped her and kept her dignity safe.

Draupadi took the vow that thenceforth she would not tie her hair until she applied the blood of Dushasana to it. Later, she also succeeded in accomplishing this vow.

Draupadi was a strong woman, who could be just as aggressive as passionate and caring, depending on the situation. Her life was full of hardships, but it was also full of wonderful rewards as well. One thing that is for sure about Draupadi is that she was beautiful. There was no denying that she was a true beauty- her skin, eyes, and hair were all gorgeous. However, there was a strong soul behind that beauty too. Thanks to her strength of soul, she was able to face many challenges not only in her adult life, but also in her childhood as well.

Her strength comes from her childhood times. When she was a child, she went for shikaar with her father in a jungle. Some men kidnapped her in a jungle. She was very brave and smart. She didn't made a voice when she was kidnapped. She thought for a right time to run from the trap. During the night she got a chance and she ran away from there. This incident made her strong for life time.

Later when Yudhister and his four brothers were going to heaven, Draupadi falls in the himalayas on earth. When brothers asked Yudhister that why Draupadi fell as she never did any sin. Yudhister replied she favoured Arjun more. Later when Yudhister alone reached heaven he saw Draupadi as Goddess laksmi. Then he came to know that Draupadi is a Panch Kanya. Avatar of Goddess laksmi to help him in fight with evil.
